I don't see why they can't dump the hybrid penalty.
It slows down leveling for a handful of classes quite a bit, but doesn't effect the gameplay. The game would still play just as "classic" if it were gone. It was a big mistake by the original EQ devs that they should have gotten rid of much sooner.

Agreed 100% with this. Yeah, it's "classic" but doesn't mean it was good. It was even admitted to be a mistake in hindsight. Since we're playing a manifestation of hindsight, this is the one "classic" thing I'd love to see gone.
