No but it would allow people to sleep. If I decided to do it with friends or guilds I can sleep. Which makes it not like suicide. But my suggestion isn't just, "Remove the list". That is just one suggestion. My suggestion is currently just: The current list mechanic has the consequence of staying up non-stop for 60+ hours and that is extremely unhealthy.

I am open to an alternative that makes sense, sure. Nothing has been suggested that comes close though. The list is the closest to keeping it classic while also ensuring the staff don't wake up every morning to a bunch of manastone related petitions.

I like my suggestion of just allowing a sleep break after someone has been at the camp doing the afk check for 24 hours straight. We can currently already be logged out for the 900 seconds. So just make an option like that that is allowed after 24 hours but instead of 900 seconds it is 6 hours or so and only usable once every 24 hours. But that is just one suggestion and I am sure the guides, and devs would be able to think of a better one. I talked to a guide earlier about this and they said they have talked about the issue so I know they are at the very least thinking of it.

Even if the list was removed, people would still be staying up for ungodly amounts of time to ensure that their spot didn't get handed off to someone else. What is it exactly that you envision happening if the list were removed? Everyone playing nice and waiting in line still? If that's the case then that is just simply adorable of you! The players here have shown time and time again what they will resort to for items that drop all the time. We are talking about one of the rarest and most coveted items in classic here that only drops for a short period of time.

You really are enjoying the straw man tactic, uh? Again. I am not here saying, "This is the best method use mine!" And I am certainly not saying, "Remove the list and everything would be perfect!". But I would rather have a few elite guilds hoarding it then people playing to the point of exhaustion and passing out at 60 hours. Though I would prefer an alternative version of /list. Maybe a slight change to either the spawn timer, or rate. Or keep it the same but give people away to sleep every 24-36 hours. But again, my most important point is that the current system when using as intended at the manastone camp is pretty unhealthy and could use some tinkering.
