I can't imagine why they would ever answer that. There will just be endless whining about their answer, and then if they don't merge them when the whiners want it to, there'll be more whining. Then when they finally do, there'll be double whining about why it didn't happen sooner and why it shouldn't happen.
Doctrine of infallibility is only for p99 IMO!
