When looted by a bard this autoequips to primary slot since it's not a weapon even when playing an instrument. Instruments ordinarily acts as a 2H so usually we can't equip something else in primary slot.
Once a bard tries to change equipment, the wedding sword behaves normally and is no longer equipable while playing a instrument.
