I remember it changing on blue, but I don't remember if it was to patch notes or just because it always should have been that way.
As it is currently, if a mob gets within a certain range... aggro or not, he'll/she'll hit you while you sit if you're kos to him/her

Not sure! But I low-key love it when group members keep sneaking off (AFK) between pulls and you need to make sure they stay engaged so that the whole team doesn't wipe:-p.
