Fair question.
The way I experience the word 'lynch' just means 'being unfairly admonished by a group of others'. Thats trivial. But for someone to argue "when you said, 'you were being unfairly admonished by a group of others' you were implying 'your persecution is worse than a bunch of mob murdered black men'" then to me it looks like its the second person who is projecting the racism into the first speaker's words.
But now its been explained to me that the phrase 'lynch' isn't used as a trivialised figure of speech in the states I can see I lost something 'in translation'.
