You should be fine. I recently leveled up a human necro of bertox and actually managed to hit warmly with the temple of life without dropping below amiable with the necro/sk guild.
Yeah, you can do the rabid hide quests as a bertox bro. And yes, Gash Flockwalker *will* wreck your shit, but the two above quests *will* fix your Karana faction as well over time and yes, you can turn in bandit sashes once that quest comes around.
