I think these guys are crying to be put out of their misery, but here we are playing with the food.
One guy puts a disclaimer at the end of his post claiming that it doesn't matter what happens after only what happened then matters. The game didn't end then though. There was no posts to announce their intention to leave while on top. To go out with dignity and glory from a position of strength.
They are now here, in a weakened state. Trying to argue reasons why things are like they are, to reclaim some part of their broken brittle pride.
