Wait, no. No, it's not. It makes no cot-damn difference. Without gate, being bound at the firepots is worthless. And sure, you can buy gate potions. You can also buy Leatherfoot Raider Skullcaps and Lizard Blood Potions, which are instant, cheaper, and put you in more convenient locations. The only raid content that pot room gives you a step up on is Vox, and unless you're planning on keeping all your melees at 52, that's going to be short-lived. Any decent guild also has their melees stocked up on Frost Potions, which means CR time is your only real advantage. Grats on having the best second-chance capability for Vox.

Agreed. You can gate yourself at 1K/pop. Or you can pay a nearby druid 50pp to port you anywhere in the world. I suppose if they want to raid Ak'Anon or Qeynos - they'll be first to mobilize.
