Look up old pbaoe guides that say a pull off 10 npcs is a good pull too. They gave plenty of reasons for that change, and rightly so.

A good pull is subjective.
The limits simply didn't exist as per patch notes dating all the way back to EQ's original patch notes. The very first limit to Bard's PBAoEs didn't exist until 2002.

As such this is a non-classic improvement for other classes implemented by P99 devs. So the removal of a non-classic improvement for pet classes makes no sense.
