Fiddles ratios aren't that bad... They only look bad on paper.
A .25 ratio on a 3 second duration drain is actually a .75 ratio over the course of the whole spell.
With that said, Fiddle is one of those heroes that either gimps a team or turns it into auto-rape.
If the enemy team is making smart use of wards then setting up a fiddlegank is difficult. This is compounded if the enemy team has a competent Ashe. When I was playing regularly it was always fun seeing a fiddle setup for a gank early/mid game with wards, fire you arrow at him, and then have the people/person he was about to gank rush and rape his face.
