Aye, but I do want to clarify I'm not just talking about the rooted dragons in ToV here. It's been said before, but rooted mobs can give an advantage to the larger or more capable force due to leapfrogging and being able to handle the boss + N adds simultaneously with a larger force, so when things are spawning one at a time, I would definitely expect AM to have an advantage there.

But looking at the bigger picture, if AM is clearing to a ToV dragon and an unrooted target spawns - NToV or not (Dain, KT, Statue, WToV, etc) other guilds now have more of a chance to go for it than they would before.

TL;DR: Trying to race AM for a rooted target is probably a bad strategy for most guilds, going for a different target while AM is busy on a rooted target is probably a good strategy for most guilds.

P99ers do a lot of things well. Handling surprise adds / splitting up focus is not one of them. Mostly because the classes that do that the best (SK/Paladins) are generally trashed and considered useless, and because pulls are considered failures if a dragons doesn't appear at the zone line solo.
