I agree completely.

when they tell you to make an offer, and you make an offer and it goes ignored they clearly have a number in mind, which pisses me the fuck off, if you have a number in mind just say so when you auction, and at the very least when I take the time to make you an offer like you asked don't just ignore me thats just a retarded negotiating tactic, I will give you an example of of how this does work on this server, and of how it SHOULD work

lets say someone wants to sell a mithril 2 hander, and would like to get 2k for it, and throws out a "WTS Mith 2 hander" auction with no price.

scenario A

Buyer : how much for the mith 2 hander?
Seller : make an offer
Buyer : ok, how about 1,500?
no reply from seller

scenario B

Buyer : how much for the mith 2 hander?
Seller : make an offer
Buyer : how about 1,500?
Seller : sorry, I can not go that low, was hoping to get at least 2,500
Buyer : hmmm well 2,500 is a bit steep but I suppose I could come up to 2k.
Seller : ok im at T1

in scenario A not only do you come off as an ass ( to most people ) but you lose an opportunity to sell your item and get out of EC and do something productive.

in scenario B , when the buyer's offer is too low you come back with a number higher than you want so when they try and re-negotiate and low ball you again, you get closer to what you were hoping to initially get and in the long run you will most likely end up making a sale a whole lot quicker.

it just seems stupid to me, there is absolutely no reason not to reply and negotiate if someone makes a low ball offer on an item you are selling when you did not advertise a price.
