Technically, Venezuela on the petrodollar could play a part in stabilizing our currency -- allowing it to be further leveraged. Which is the only reason someone not directly benefiting from new oil/military ventures would care.
But I don't think it will work simply because continued military support will be expensive and undo any kind of vague benefit of the petrodollar. Especially since there is a chance we could get into another proxy war with Russia over this shit...hard to say if they have the balls/power to do that in our own backyard though.
