Funny how so many people believe in the liberial lie of “free” healthcare and college paid for by the 1%. Simple math would show you that that is impossible and in fact regular working people will just end up paying for this “free” healthcare and college, like they always do.
From recent stats the top 1% (individuals/families making over $470k) made little under $2trillion dollars in yearly income and paid $550billion in fed income taxes at an average rate of about 28%. So at a rate of 100% the theoretically limit you can squeeze out of the rich would be an extra $1.5trillion (even less than that due to state income taxes and other taxes). However, taxing people making over $470k a year at 100% would certainly result in economical collapse in a year and country collapse in 2. I would figure the most you can possibly squeeze out of them without causing complete collapse would be maybe $750billion (that is a very generous estimate and would still cause serious economical problems). So even with the most favirable assumptions you can only get $750billion which isnt even enough to cover our current yearly deficit let alone some crazy expensive things like free healthcare or free college. Thus were would the money come from, the only place it mathematically can come from, the middle class. In the end if you want a normal life, family, and home you gonna end paying double for healthcare/college through increased taxes instead of paying only half of that directly to insurances/colleges. I say double in increased taxes because you now gonna have to pay for the millions upon millions of freeloaders currently not paying anything in federal income taxes.
The more you know (TM)
