I would wait till a late hour in the middle of the night so that your neighbors were asleep. Then i would bang on your door with a bullshit excuse like bumming 3$, if you happened to be home that night and answered.
If you didnt answer, i would assume that you were most likely not home, or that you sleep so hard that it wouldnt matter if you were home when i broke in and stole your electronics and valuables. Id probably have a knife on me, or take one from your cutting block in the kitchen while i was doing it though, just in case you woke up and i had to kill you real quick.
