Sorry the facts don't support your narrative.
In industry, we have people called "subject matter experts" that we use to gather insight from before we make big decisions. I would consider an ex cartel member who has already been arrested, extradited, and pleaded guilty to drug trafficking as a pretty knowledgable resource. More-so than a burnout high school pill popper from Florida at least. He isn't an active cartel member anymore and is facing a minimum of 10 years to life sentencing. He has everything to gain from truthfully cooperating with authorities, and nothing to lose.
Why are you so intent on wasting taxpayer money when it could be spent on much more effective border security? Do you really even care about this at all or is this issue so partisan that you've dug your heels in regardless? Or, as you put it, are you retarded?
Still waiting on an explanation of how Mexico is paying for this, btw.

You link random opinion pieces from addiction centers...lol
You actually trust Mexican cartels to tell you the truth more than logic and common sense.
The cartel does not want to see the wall built.
Can they get around it? Sure, eventually. But that's why you continue to evolve your security.
The cartels aren't the only ones who try to cross the border. They're not the only issue.
Again, just because hackers might eventually figure out a way to get into your computer, doesn't mean you should just give up and not secure your computer.
Antivirus will keep out the majority, and you keep it updated.
