I bonded with my large neighbor over rice today. He's been giving me eyes for weeks now. Today, I was going into the front door with rice over my shoulder. The neighbor, smoking, goes "RICE, huh?" from about 30 feet away. I turned and said "No, RICE." He said "that's what I said." very matter of factly and I replied "Oh, I thought you said 'ICE'." Having displayed vulnerability thru fallibility, I seemed to have boosted the man's comfort level with me significantly, and we had a few more exchanges with him in a position of superiority before he dismissed me. I said "you have a good day too" very cutely because I was turned on by the 30 second interlude. Is that normal?

You'll grow out of it. It's annoying. After a fact. Unless the other person is more attractive.
