Furtive - Attempting to avoid notice or attention: typically because of guilt, or a belief that discovery would lead to trouble.
Disingenuous - not candid or sincere; typically by pretending one knows less about something than one really does.
What is persuasion? It's not actually the same as argument, it carries a much more sinister undertone, and seeks to avoid conflict altogether by convincing the target that there's no disagreement at all. It comes dressed in fine clothing saying, "We both like rainbows and unicorns, we both believe that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. These other things that we disagree on? we can speak of those things later, perhaps over a cup of tea. For now, let's just agree we're the same, you and I."
Obdurate - Mental resistance to the softening influences of persuasion.
Rest assured, the gaze remains firmly fixed on you, Commie. It doesn't matter how many marginalized others you swaddle yourself in. We're not even looking at the game of ball under the cup.
