I'll at least admit I gave Sirken a hard time and he never deserved it. Most of you will have no remorse over this and can never admit fault. Haynar has a completely defining point here.
This stupid raid system and being forced to play stupid games (and be judged for how well he supported said stupidity) is to blame along with the community that pushed it to that point.
You lost the best day to day GM you're ever going to get and some of you morons are celebrating it. While not perfect, this is the best classic server around or ever will be around and the community constantly shits it up like it did here. Good work forcing him into all this subjective bullshit and crucifying him for trying to make this goofy system work for everyone.

If I took the time I could probably find in my post history where I questioned staff's deep involvement in the raid scene. It just seemed kind of odd someone would become so involved in it. While his dedication to the project was commendable, it was also his downfall.
There's no doubt most rulings and bannings were a result of the player base he had to babysit. Sirken did a great job in that respect. For that, he should be thanked. It's perpetual bullshit, with folks trying to get away with, and exploit at any opportunity, in order to obtain pixels. As mentioned, probably a blessing this happened.
I definitely do not agree with Haynar downplaying the offenses. There are certain things that shouldn't be done in such a trusted position on staff. And I'm sure upper management feels the same. But that's the nature of this beast as we've seen time and time again with GMs on this server. It's a social game and human nature is always going to be a factor. They'll learn from this experience and things will get better.
