I'm in the same guild as him, don't know him at all really but he always seemed decent enough. If this is true exactly as stated that's some raging faggotry though, summoned items or not.
Did you start out the tells politely? ie. when he picked it up did you say "Hey, soandso summoned them for their xxxxx, could you let him have them back please?" or did you go "hey moron those aren't yours give them back!"
Not saying I think you did just go straight to flaming, just saying that if I picked up a bag of summoned goods on the ground and someone sent me a tell going straight to "hey idiot that isn't yours" I'd probably tell them to fuck off too, but on the other hand if they spoke like a reasonable human being, I'd give them back and apologize, like a reasonable human being.
