I see that yet another global warming debate was sparked in this thread, so I will post a quick reminder that global warming activism is complete nonsense:
- Everyone believes the basic science of CO2 as a warming gas.
- But CO2's global warming ability increases logarithmically (= incredibly slowly) and we already have a huge amount of it. Serious global warming requires increased water vapor in the atmosphere.
- Computer models of complex chaotic systems like water vapor in the atmosphere are inherently inaccurate
- Even if the Earth warms, it could be a net positive for humanity, which traditionally does well when plants do well, and plants like hot and wet.
- Even if it is not, there is nothing the average American can do about it. Emissions in the developed world are actually declining; it's China & the BRICS that lead in CO2 now
TLDR: real environmentalists are concerned about pollution and, yes, African population growth.
