Pickles are a fuckin-sometimes-snack! Not an addition to something that is already good! Would you put pickles on a pizza to make it better?! Would you put them on a pristine lasagna?
No, no you would not.
Pickles do not improve the sandwich. They overpower the tastes of the other ingredients, and therefore ruin the sandwich.
