I generally do NOT equate a Trump voter with a hardcore Trump supporter. I am of the opinion that at least 20% of his voters are embarrassed by lots of his actions and behavior. I also don't believe that the devotion of his supporters is absolute enough just like the vice article concludes - that if the democrats run a good populist style candidate in 2020 they can siphon some Trump voters.
