Then you aren't there to claim the camp. You lost. Worse, you advertised that you were logging and practically invited someone to come and claim it.
I totally agree 100% that it was a douche-bag move for them to do it, I'm adamant about adhering to the play-nice policy but I also assume that 99% of everyone else doesn't so I do my best to keep my camp in an iron fist.
Here's a story that led to my 'fuck-you, I get mine' mentality:
I was camping the OOT AC and some newbie at sisters asked in OOC where me to buy some weapons to make his pet Dual Wield. I OOC'd back that the dwarf vendor on that island sold rusty broadswords. He tells me The dwarf is dubious and wont sell to him. I'm at AC so I /OOC tell him meet me there and I'll buy him a bagful. I kill the AC PH, /guard the pet to stand ON THE SPAWN POINT and run over to the island. I buy him a dozen swords and head back...
When I get back I find a mage with his fire pet out and parked literally on top of my Skeleton. We converse for a second. He tells me I wasn't present and my pet didn't count as claim and I was SoL.....cyclops PH pops and we both go to work...His nukes out do mine and he gets the kill. Somehow this justifies in his mind that he owns the camp. After 2 more ph pops I get fed up and leave.
