As an alternative to selling the bonechips, turn them in in the Kaladim Pally guild (or is it cleric?) for good xp into the early teens. I bought several bags of bone chips for my dorf cleric when I made him and took him from 1-15. Even if you don't have the money to buy them, you can collect yourself and turn in as you go!
