It's not a matter of science and never could be. The cut-off date will always be an arbitrary value, hence why it never sees agreement and the argument continues forever. In some societies, even relatively recently, it was perfectly legal for parents to kill their children if they felt it was necessary.

its not an arbitrary value if you say, is sperm with egg? THATS a human. It doesnt matter what the cut-off date was or is now.
Its simple: HAS the sperm fertilized the egg? yes? LIFE no. No life.
if the cut-off date is indeed arbitrary then we should make it illegal, cus we shouldn't determine if a murder is a murder based on arbitrary values.
