Technically, a room = a camp and by the rules crypt would be 5 different camps. So if you wanted to sit on a specific named room and claim it as yours, the GMs would probably just rage and kill everyone in the zone because you're wasting their time with whiney petitions.
Doesn't stop it from being a douchey move.
Him taking the emp camp would have been acceptable, especially since you guys offered it (which is a standup move).
