Core leadership is basically old Awakened pull + FTE team, and some would say they were pretty damn good.
I don't see the problem with a new guild starting with maybe 20 people locking down vox/naggy and fear golems as first targets. An arguement could be made that Vox/Naggy and fear golems are the best targets in the game outside ToV and Kael due to the value of raid items they drop. The fact they get these targets is a testament to their ability.
They will do just fine in ToV once ready.
