End game armor has so many stats on it plus buffs taking you to the cap on many things. Plus for raid targets you just click a Midnight Mallet and sit your ass in the corner with an egg timer for how long is left on Defensive stance. Tho I think people use stopwatches on their fancy calculator watches now.
But leveling up you are probably going to want frontal stun immunity
even Slam is super useful all the times due to it being linked to Bash with a higher skillcap over kick
or even iksar ac/regen
But if you are dead set on gnome, consider going Brell deity so you can have access to that superfucking sweet dwarven cultural armor. as a gnome you wont be allowed in evil cities anyways and going brell shouldnt hurt you. even zek is cool because of that human cultural stuff

All the buffs last for an hour outside of haste, which is 20 mins. At 5pp a cast, just looting gems pays for the recharges quick. +30 dex/str for 5pp an hour is worth it, even 40% haste at 5pp a cast is worth the 5pp.
Each piece sells for 2k, which is also cheap for a piece of armor you will always keep, unless you get a eyepatch of plunder. Which is still only 20% haste.
