Do you understand that a mage without a pet is worse off then say a wizard? Mages backbone is the pet, its main focus is on the pet for a reason...Without it, u might as well roll a wizzy for better nukes...

I don't think anyone is arguing this. A Mage without a pet should be worst than a Wizard, correct. A Mage's bread and butter is his pet, correct. A Mage can do things a Wiz can't, and vise veras. That's how the game was designed.
What got some people ranting was the statement 'bards along with mages are broken'. This thread was about Bard issues and was derailed in the first post.
