hm.. If i remember correctly.. The pet is comes out for a few seconds and attacks either whatever attacks you or what you have targetted? Then goes away after a few seconds. I remember it only being useful if it successfully bashed the mob that got a surprise on ya so you could gain some distance. This was years ago so i could be wrong
