The 50% stat is really not accurate, it includes people with multiple divorces. I have two beautiful children with one more in the way. Being married is for the kids, which in turn is for society. What doesn’t make sense about that?
Monogomius relationships is the ideal if producing a successful culture is your goal. Mick routinely points to this as why those like you hold your views. Not everyone is okay, not all decisions are equal. Grow up and join society or stay on the perimeter with your delusions. Proof is in the pudding.

35% of first marriages end in divorce, and how many on top of that stay in unhappy or unsatisfied marriages? When you add that back in I assure you it's 50% again.
The amount of children born to unmarried females is now ~50% in most developed western nations and rising. This trend will continue whether you like it or not. The concept of marriage is pretty much dying/dead. It will only last another generation or two. It is ironic that LGBT fought so hard for something that won't be around much longer.
