As Casey VII already said, you should NOT have the game in the Program Files folder, since that causes problems with file access.
Btw once the game runs, you don't need to install it really. Make a backup somewhere (just copy it on an external disk for example) and if you break the game somehow you can just copy it back on your PC (again NOT under Program Files
