mblake it's ok to talk about us now without perpetually shaming trans stereotypes. People still do, but it's not all anymore. We've always been here. I'm probably the only one ever really actively engaging. The others just sort of sit in the shadows or aren't out.
BigJ is a special case. But I'd rather let her speak up for herself. She's like me, but different. We aren't some kind of new thing, were all different. We're more noticeable now because culture thinks of gender differently now. You can thank politicians on both sides for making an issue of us. They in part drove us into the public space and outed us. And yeah the internet made this happen quickly.
I think EQ attracts trans ppl for the same reasons it does everyone else. It's an escape. And it's addictive. Trans people probably use EQ as more of an emotional crutch than most. I can't speak for every trans lady though.
I broke my eq habit, but this sort of had always been my way of socializing ever since b4 transition. I just sorta stuck around.
I actually care a little bit about everyone here and like them, even if they can be mean boys.
