All of the perks are really all just a way to keep people at work as long as possible. It's all regular cubicle jobs just like any other corporation.

All of the perks are there to keep the employee happy and for them to stay working at Google. It's not about "Oh, work overtime.". It's to make them comfortable because when in high stress environments, people don't work well. That's what Google's mission is all about.
