I'd have to argue those are tunnel cat prices. They pretty much swawp between themselves with the occasional person locking down a lottery item/saving up and taking one off the market. This day in age, it's absurd to pay those crazy asking prices for elder beads. Carry a bag of stalking probes. 500 plat, and you have 50 charges. Throw an extra in the bank for recharges, they're dirt cheap to recharge.
CoS, is definately nice, but over carrying a gobby ring and invis rings, your just paying a convenience charge to not have to swap a ring and target yourself. I've had mine from before the nerf, but I would certainly say 12-15k is worth it. If they go over 20k, naaaah...that's money well spent else where.

The discussion of price makes me wonder, since I did spend my entire life savings on the circlet. I think the infinite invis charges makes it worth it since now I can scope out dungeons and bank in peace.
I'm surprised that you don't think 20k is worth infinite invis. I see lots of items for sale around here, and some of these do not look that useful but cost lots of money as well, just for marginal increases in +HP/Wis/Int over other droppable gear, but for some reason cost so much more than their counterparts. I can think of lots of things. Not quite what I would spend my money on as a caster if I saved it instead, when you can get so much very acceptable gear for 500p or less.
For example Ice Silk Pantaloons goes for 14k for some reason.
