I remember Circlet of shadow going for millions in Live. Its an amazing item. Just cuz it was 12k a month ago that don't mean it will stay at that price. I'd have to argue those are tunnel cat prices. They pretty much swawp between themselves with the occasional person locking down a lottery item/saving up and taking one off the market. This day in age, it's absurd to pay those crazy asking prices for elder beads. Carry a bag of stalking probes. 500 plat, and you have 50 charges. Throw an extra in the bank for recharges, they're dirt cheap to recharge.
CoS, is definately nice, but over carrying a gobby ring and invis rings, your just paying a convenience charge to not have to swap a ring and target yourself. I've had mine from before the nerf, but I would certainly say 12-15k is worth it. If they go over 20k, naaaah...that's money well spent else where.
