If they sell off EQ the deal Rogean has I would imagine is voided and the new owner could come and shut down P99 for infringing on their newly acquired intellectual property.

Same thing ultimately happened w/ Asheron's Call.
Turbine sold to WB. WB let Asheron's Call falter for a while then decided it wasn't worth the money.
They pulled the plug and slapped the sh*t out of anyone trying to make a private server with any real steam.
