Everyone I know who's ridden a bike has been in a major accident and either died, or stopped riding with some type of lifelong injury. As holesum implied, I know many mid-older life crises people (uncles) who insisted on getting a bike for the holesum aforementioned reasons. They seemed suicidal and had a big grin on their face when attempted to be talked down from it and talked into selling it.

typically their wives are able to enact the appropriate changes such as cutting the fuel line.
