Back when we had the 7 day rez timers, that dude was like an angel that would descend from the heavens to rez whatever pile of corpse you accumulated throughout week, and then vanish without requesting any payment just as quickly as he appeared. Like 90% of the classic server population probably owes that dude a couple levels worth of exp.
