Whirl on live was pretty overpowered too. I had one of those staffs on my beastlord and duo'd with a monk who had one as well. DPS wasnt great, but we would lock mobs down with it. It would last a very long time, pretty often. Since it was a duo, maybe we werent subject to as much mob push (which people say break it).

What matters to me though is....is the spell overpowered in its current state? My answer is yes. Thus it needs a fix. This is a fundamental problem we are going to have on this server....classic, vs "right". How do you balance how the game "should have been" (which is open to interpretation) with just an 100% accurate classic recreation? I think this is an incident where you need to say "this is how it should have been, regardless of how it was".

I think the same has already been shown on some overpowered quests like CB belts. They give just a fraction of the xp they used to, but that might be for the best?
