They readily support capitalism as the status quo economic system that has served us well in the past. But they also admit that it is imperfect and can have a destructive impact on traditional institutions like the nuclear family and friendly neighborhoods.
My definition of unfair is related to rule-breaking, not outcome. If someone is breaking a rule (theft), that is a crime. If they are swindling people (wall street people charging >1% fees), that is a moral crime. If they are raping mother Earth (littering), that is a natural crime. These are the only unfair methods in capitalism. I believe these people should face severe consequences. EVERYTHING else is fair. You don't have to buy from or work for anyone you deem unfair, whatever that definition may be.

Toehammer and Xaanka are convinced that capitalism is a system that rewards good behavior. And that people unjustly benefiting is some rare aberration of capitalism.
It rewards profit AND productivity. People unjustly benefiting is a rare aberration; usually we call them criminals (see above). Most people aren't criminals.

I guess my question is, why is this idea so important to you guys? Why can't you just admit that capitalism is mostly unfair and often rewards the wrong kind of behavior and benefits the wrong kind of people?
Because I don't lie.

The only wrong people benefiting are criminals (common and political). Pitchforks and prisons work well.

I know plenty of capitalists that acknowledge the above...so why is it you can't?
I attach no -ist to my character. I'm a human. Not a capitalist, just logical.

All I am trying to explain to you is that you too can stick it to the man by participating in the system. Instead of buying pot, throw the money into a low-cost index fund. Those only benefit you and in 15 years you can buy the key to your own shackles. We have never lived in a freer time. If you are concerned with "fairness", you can invest in "socially responsible" index funds https://www.kiplinger.com/slideshow/...ble/index.html

The education I have been giving you is free. Now, just like the rest of capitalism, your choice kiddo. Develop skills, earn money, help the world... or smoke pot, complain, and chase your tail.
