Hilary has spent her entire life mingling with elites and haggling with powerful business interests. She couldn't possibly come across as the honest supporter of working Americans that people want her to.
Here's the thing -- I don't want politics to look they way it was going to under Hilary Clinton. So I was bitter about her taking Bernie's spot.
But Hilary the individual is a very impressive person if you just ignore the fakeness she exudes...
She crafted herself into this persona, because that shit worked in American politics until 5 minutes ago. Most the time she is hiding or dodging something -- her central goal is to get something pushed through for the middle class. She just has made a bargain with the devil one to many times and no longer seems to know what that is.
I simply can't think of another woman that actually managed to command respect the way Hilary did though. Maybe Oprah but she is a daytime T.V. star. And that's where women are truly disadvantaged. They can come across as smart and capable but for some reason they don't get that kind of respect men in the same position do (when were talking about elite politics).
Hilary is an exception to this.
