Yeah it's because your inner meat (tendon) stretched out from the sprain. I'm not sure what part ofyour leg is popping but i'm assuming it's ankle region. Your ankle is now weaker than it was before and will be at risk for another sprain. U need to get an ankle brace which supports it and keep resting, then begin walking. You can't like strengthen a tendon but you can strengthen muscles around it to avoid getting a sprain again. The clicking will subside unless u r uganda nuckles
