Tastes a lot like I know the bullshit these guys go through with trying to get everything all figured out and working properly while having to deal with people's nonsense bullshit bitching all the time. People don't commend them enough for dedicating their time to something for people they don't even know. If you don't think they deserve a bit of praise every once in a while then get fucked and get out.

You might argue that the vztz community is the fault behind the demise of vztz but i can tell you (after being in that community from mid 2007) that it was decisions made by the staff, which killed the community.
However those decisions was triggered by trolls and crybabies on the forums simply because they were loosing the raid bosses in pvp and with the mentality (If i can't have it no one should) they promptly started trolling the forums with multiple forum users to make it look like everyone wanted wipe, while the rest of the population was busy playing.
VZTZ once had a great community, where discussions and balancing and real arguments (not just trolling) took place, but after many many bad moves on the staffs side most of them left.

The community, as you said yourself above, had a big impact on those decisions that led to the downfall of the server. Do you think a lot of those poor choices would have been made had people not been fucking with them?
I like how Bruno makes assumptions that I'm 'angry because I couldn't sell my Magician' when I 1) Never tried to sell it. Was looking for a trade for a class I liked better 2) My anger is not in any way influenced by EQ, I'm pissed off at the world in general. Yea, I've said horrible things to people who did something stupid
involving EQ, but that's because stupidity and a lack of common fucking sense pisses me off. Huh, seems like I should take Uthgaard out for a beer so we can talk about people being idiots.
