I don't assume to know what happened. But its possible she is just some psycho bitch who had him targeted as a kind of guy people would believe is into sexual assault. Short, Indian, finally able to get laid by hot young white chicks. Her story about just happening to have the same 80s camera was suspicious to me. That's way more of something a 34 year old man would have, opposed to a 23 year old girl.
Or maybe he is just mounting a good defense and the whole thing was very creepy from a 3rd person perspective (obvious disgusted body signals etc...)
