All the Midnights work, in reality and in theory. So in practice, it always works, but the physical realities of Norrath are beyond our comprehension (perhaps a few gnomes know something, but they are protective, rightfully)
I mean come on, the moon(that shall not be named) is always opposite of side of Norrath as the sun(Sol). Try to work that out in your head. There clearly is something going on. There is no logical system to our physical reality. Maybe The Creator was an idiot. I don't know.
But if the Midnight Mallet stops working, duck and cover. This means some Midnights no longer exist and the rest of Midnights can not be far away. Reality shall crumble.
