It's not (just) about porn. Do you want to be able to watch movies on TV where one guy rips another's head off (without the movie being edited to hide all the gore)? Or would you like to be able to watch a show that has profanity in it? Or what about Game of Thrones: is there really any reason why it shouldn't be on TV after 10pm (someday years from now when HBO puts it into syndication)?
Adults should be able to watch adult TV, it's that simple. We shouldn't treat our entire society like children just because we happen to have some children in it.
