it's a fine thing to say objectively. im white and i agree, it is ok to be white.

but in the context of a cultural movement spurred by agents of the state executing black people in the street, it's a pretty obtuse and insensitive point to make at this time. for reference, i'm referring to "Black Lives Matter" vs "All Lives Matter", which is a big part of how we arrived at this point.
